Alametifarika is launching the world’s most important intellectual platform in Turkey: TEDxIstanbul.

Part of TED’s new series of independently organized events, our first conference on January 23 is “The Limits of Tolerance”. Outstanding names from around the world and throughout Turkey will address the presence, absence, possibility, impossibility, power, and weakness of tolerance in terms of science, art, politics, trade and technology. We hope you can join us.

TEDx is an opportunity to experience a TED-like gathering in a local and self-organized event. Just like TED Conferences, we’ll gather experts from a variety of fields (technology, entertainment and design being just three) to share “Ideas worth Spreading” in 18 minute speeches.  At Sabancı Museum’s The Seed Hall on Saturday, January, 23th, 2010 our theme is “The Limits of Tolerance”. The event with approximately 300 attendees can be watched live via web and mobile thanks to Turkcell Technology.
